| For admirers of fine crystal, there is something magical
about the name Swarovski. Because, for over 100 years, this name has stood
for top-quality, full cut crystal, expertly faceted and polished to extract
every spark of its fiery brillance. And from this tradition, we launched
the "Silver Crystal" line of figurines and decorative objects in 1976.
Within a short space of time they had captured the hearts of collectors
all over the world.
With Swarovski Silver Crystal gaining in popularity, we
decided in 1987 to create the Swarovski Collectors Society. It seemed to
us the perfect way of bringing together a growing number of individuals
with a common interest and giving them benefits that would be linked exclusively
to Society membership.
As a fourth-generation member of the Swarovski family
and great-grandson of our company's founder, Daniel Swarovski, I am proud
that SCS has so rapidly established a position for itself in our long tradition.
